Today, with the other student who studies with me at Academia Colonial, we went on an excursion to the market. OUr teachers went with and we learned new words for different fruits, vegetables, grains, and flowers. (Margharita is daisy!). Here are some pictures from the day.
What an awesome market! It reminds me of le Marche Fourville in Cannes - beautiful and interesting edibles and flowers. I bet you had fun talking with the vendors! What was the most unusual thing you saw?
ReplyDeleteProbably the meat vendors. Lots of sausage (that i have eaten already in my time here) but I learned what was inside it....probably could have done without that information. But, Soledad said that most students get sick when they eat it, and since I haven't, I'd say it's still safe to eat.
